Introduction 

The Department of Management studies, National College of Arts and Sciences, successfully organized and completed a series of programs from 12th September to 15th September 2025 as part of the mission of the Department of Education, Ministry of Central Government – "swachhta pakhwada". The primary aim of these initiatives was to foster environmental responsibility, student unity, and health awareness among the college community.

The program series commenced with great enthusiasm through a Tree Plantation Drive, symbolizing our commitment to sustainability and ecological balance. The event was graciously inaugurated by Asst.Prof. SHIMJITH MOOLAYIL, Vice-Principal of the College, who highlighted the role of students in building a greener future.

Following the inauguration, two vibrant competitions were conducted:


Essay Writing Competition

Digital Poster Making Competition


Both competitions were centered on the theme: “The Importance of Ensuring Friendliness among Students.”

These events encouraged young minds to reflect on the values of unity, cooperation, and friendship in the academic environment. A total of 30 students participated, showcasing their creativity, intellectual depth, and commitment to fostering a positive campus atmosphere.

The concluding day marked the highlight of the program series with a Health Awareness Program. The event was inaugurated by Mr. ABDULLAH VAYALOLI, Hon. Chairman of the Trust, who emphasized the necessity of health consciousness in today’s youth.


The technical session was conducted by Mr. SHYNESH, Junior Health Inspector, who delivered an insightful and interactive talk on preventive health practices, hygiene, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. His session was well-received and created a lasting impact on the participants.A total of 100 students actively took part in the awareness session. This was followed by a Campus Awareness Campaign, ensuring that the message of health and social responsibility reached the larger student community.



                                           The program proved to be a resounding success, fulfilling its objectives of promoting environmental sustainability, student harmony, and health awareness. The enthusiastic participation of students demonstrated their eagerness to engage in socially meaningful initiatives.These activities not only instilled values of responsibility and unity but also created a vibrant platform for students to express their creativity, knowledge, and commitment toward building a healthier and friendlier campus environment.The Department of Management Studies is confident that the impact of these programs will continue to inspire and guide students in their journey of academic and non academic activities

Digital Poster Making Competition


The Department of Arabic, NCAS Puliyavu, conducted a Digital Poster Making Competition on 23rd June 2025 at the college auditorium in connection with Reading Day.


Students participated enthusiastically, creating posters that highlighted the importance of reading and literacy. The competition encouraged creativity and digital skills among the participants.


Entries were evaluated by faculty members based on design, clarity, and relevance to the theme.

Suggestions 

• Maintain strictness and discipline, particularly in addressing late comers. 
• Encourage active participation of students in both academic and cocurricular activities. 
• Maintain proper communication between parents and teachers.

One day Workshop on Basic Instrumentation Techniques at INNATE ANALYTICS Vadakara

 The second year Biochemistry students participated in a one day workshop titled on"Basic Instrumentation Techniques" at Innate Analytics Labzone,Vatakara on 20.06.2025.They familiarised different equipments and live demonstration with analytical instruments.All participated students received a certificate of participation.







JUNE 19 NATIONAL READING DAY CELEBRATION

 

Reading Day & Week Celebration 2025 

National College of arts and science celebrated National Reading day with a series of engaging literary events organized by ‘Sahiti’Sahithyavedi and College Library. The celebrations commenced with a warm welcome speech by Manmadhan HOD of Malayalam dept. , followed by a presidential address by Principal Dr. Basheer Kotta. The event was officially inaugurated by Vayaloli Kunjabhudulla, Chairman of the College Management Trust. Chief guest of the programme was M. Musthafa master (Retd. Headmaster) a playback singer and a motivational speaker . A series of literary activities were organized to promote reading habits and literary appreciation among students. A Sahithya Quiz was conducted on 19th June 2025, focusing on Malayalam and world literature. Students from various classes participated. On 20th June 2025, a Book Review Competition was held, where students submitted reviews of their favorite books.
